Design and implementation of the unified Django + Python backend supporting the company's VR applications running on hardware (Meta Quest-class headsets): authentication, cross-device data sync, shared services across apps and REST APIs for the different VR products

- ASPB — Barcelona Public Health Agency (~2.5 years · backend lead).
Designed and built from scratch the Django backend of the health inspection platform, a domain of high regulatory and business complexity: management of inspections to hospitality establishments, workflow engine with conditional transitions (next action depends on the result and type of the previous one), digital signature of inspection records via external API integration, sample shipment and traceability to lab, email notifications to inspectors and inspected subjects, async tasks with Celery and transactional handling of critical operations. I also developed a full ETL with Python and pandas to migrate data from multiple legacy systems (obsolete databases and Excel files) into the new model, working closely with the client to translate and adapt all historical data
- NFGE — Citizen Entities Registry, Barcelona City Council (~2 years).
Official platform for the registration and management of Barcelona's citizen entities and informal groups: management of officeholders and governing boards, mandate validity tracking and automated notifications to involved members. I was on the project from kickoff to completion as one of the lead backend developers, single-handedly owning its most technically demanding piece: the integration with 5+ external Public Administration APIs (GeoBCN, PDIB (Catalan Government), OpenText, OpenData by the City Council, among others), each with its own contract, authentication and semantics
- AWA — Irrigation remote control (1 year).
Distributed Python system structured as microservices for the remote management of agricultural irrigation with physical hardware. Refactored parts of the system delivering efficiency improvements, and designed and built from scratch an interoperability microservice that unified information from remote units distributed across different regions and translated it into a common language compliant with the Spanish UNE standard, allowing third-party telemetry systems to consume it

Currently in production with multiple active restaurants. Landing page, 2 Angular frontends (waiter + manager), React frontend with FastAPI backend for end users (restaurant and dish reviews), main Django backend, mobile apps with Ionic/Capacitor and desktop version with Electron. Solved a hybrid multi-tenant architecture (cloud + local server with real-time bidirectional sync) and the Verifactu integration (Spanish Tax Authority API for electronic invoicing). Includes an incident management system and an AI assistant powered by LLM built into the application
- Feats — Social network for foodies (~1.5 years).
Full cross-platform app from first line of code to App Store submission readiness. Django + DRF on backend, Angular + Ionic + Capacitor. The project that marked my evolution from backend developer to full-stack engineer: frontend development, mobile app deployment, CI/CD and go-to-market
